Next step!

So the injections were not as bad as I thought they would be. The needle is like itty bitty My husband compared it to an insulin needle. We alternated sides on my tummy. The only part that I actually felt something was when the medicine was going in. It had a sting/burn feeling to it but went away after maybe 10 mins. It did puff up a bit but went away as well. I asked my doctor about this and I was told this was all completely normal. Pheww!! Being on the Fumara and Injections I honestly didn’t feel any different, no mood changes of any kind. I actually felt pretty happy and well balanced which was awesome!

We did my trigger shot last night 6/6/2016 what this does is helps you to ovulate. You do these in the same place you did the Menopur hormone injections.

Menopur is a combination of hormones. It works by stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is then given to cause ovulation (release of an egg).

Trigger Injections

Ovidrel is the prescription version of the hormone hCG, which stimulates the release of an egg, aka ovulation. It’s used in fertility medicine to trigger ovulation about 36 hours before insemination or egg retrieval.

Doc appointment 6/6/2016 We did an exam and looked at my follicles I have 7 on my left side and I believe 7 on my right. I had a pretty large one on my right so we are staying hopeful! We are scheduled for our 2nd round of IUI Friday 6/8/2016.

My thoughts on this go around, I’m not going to get my hopes up, I’m going to relax and enjoy life, ignore any symptoms, not do any research, Trick my mind into thinking nothing is going on and just stay relaxed. If you think about it people that get pregnant “normally” they usually don’t know they are pregnant they go about their day as if it was normal. SO that’s what I’m going to try and do!

Will check back in after my 2ww (2-week wait)

until then, Adios!
